BOSSS OPENS IN NIGERIA...

Recently, CEO Peter Blofield and Ops director Karl Engelbrecht joined their new partners for a presentation of services and capability to National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS) in Lagos, Nigeria.

This is the 5th branch in Africa to offer service to the marine industry. The operation is aimed at servicing the oil and gas industry as well as their traditional clients using this port.

The operation is headed in Lagos by Mr. Yemi Gbadamosi, the Managing Director in charge of operations and local sales.

In February the BOSSS team return to present their stand at the NOG 12 exhibition held from February 20th – 23rd. Look for us there!

BOSSS YEAR END FUNCTION…

In Durban, the staff of all the Bosss divisions had an absolute ball doing off – road driving in the Shongweni Valley at Killarney 4x4 track. Farmer Giles (Peter Blofield) was there in his Boere Bakkie – a bog standard Toyota and gave an excellent account against some of the purpose built “heavies”. If one could gauge enjoyment from screams and shouts when traversing the rough sections and mud baths – a great time was had by all.

Cape Town did a similar event but the terrain was vastly different. We took a Fortuner and a Terrios Off – Road and joined two 1946 Willys Jeeps for a burn on the Atlantis dunes. The Jeeps were kitted out for desert driving and the instructors were dead set on getting the two modern vehicles stuck. We managed to perch the Terrios on a sharp dune ridge from which we needed a rescue – to the delight of Peter Blofield and Terrence Drake (C.T. Branch Manager) riding the Fortuner. Once again the staff had a real blast!

All set for the New Year, this was a welcome interlude for the team who work throughout the festive season, some technicians absent from their loved ones throughout Christmas and New Year.
